New York Health Food Store Owner Wins Isagenix Contest

Chandler, Ariz. - Sept. 24, 2006 - The spotlight's on health food store owner Jacqueline Maffei from New City, New York for earning the most points, 181, and $1,000 in Isagenix's April 1 - July 31 Making a Difference Cash Contest. But even more impressive-she's only been an Isagenix Associate since April 29 and she became a 2-Star Golden Circle Crystal Executive in less than three months.

Maffei said she receives plenty of interest in Isagenix from her customers. Many of these customers are patients of nutritionists, doctors, chiropractors and naturopaths. She said, "If they don't start seeing results and leave their doctors, I put them on Isagenix."

But the way Maffei earned most of the points necessary to win the contest was by presenting the Isagenix business opportunity at health, wellness and anti-aging seminars. "We do seminars with a doctor, a financial planner and lots of people giving testimonials," she said.

Maffei's upline, Star Consultant Bill Constain and a "soon-to-be 3-Star Golden Circle," owns his own financial services business and frequently speaks at the seminars. He said the balance between products and business at seminars is perfect. "We start out with Dr. Becky's 'Take Control of Your Health' DVD and then we say, 'Do you want chocolate or vanilla?' Then, 'Do you want to buy it retail or wholesale?'"

Constain explained that seminar attendees often sign up after they realize that Isagenix products won't affect their pocketbooks. He said, "They're not spending extra, but replacing the money they'd usually spend on food for good nutrition-plus creating a way to make money."

Maffei added that cleansing harmful substances from the body is important to many local Rockland County residents, as well as those living in the New York City metropolitan area. Rockland County is about 35 miles from New York City. "We're going to rent out hotels all over New York to do seminars, because people here realize they need to cleanse," she said. "We've even got New York firemen and police officers coming to our seminars."

Their hotel seminar on Oct. 14 will include Isagenix Co-founders Jim and Kathy Coover. "We plan to sign up a lot of people," said Maffei.
